Remove your fuseable links one at a time and check for power to all of them. You should have power at one of the two terminals on all of them.

Did it... checked with the test light and all terminals are getting power.. the fuses on the left side of the box get power from the terminal on the left, and the fuses on the right side of the box, get power from the terminal on the right... (heck I even found out the car had a horn all this time)

Power goes from 30 amp fusble link "h" to the ignition switch. Horn does not need assy or ign relay to work. From the ignition switch it provides power to the assy and ign relay.

Make sure you have power at the white with purple stripe wire at the ignition switch. From there it goes to the assy and ign relays when you turn the ignition switch.

When in assy position should have power at the white with blue stripe wire and in the ign postion should have power at the Black with red stripe wire at the ignition switch. This turns on your assy and ign relays. Make sure to double check your connections for these wires.

If there would be anyplace where I would say a wrong connection could cause this problem it would be at the ignition switch but you probably did not touch that during your dash removal?

Does you clock work? If not check for power at ther locations listed in ^ post. If the clock works check items listed below.

Did you disconnect any solid black ground wires that may have been running to the underdash fusebox? There is a ground wire that attaches to the body near the drivers side door near the bottom. It would probably run to a screw that attaches the black ground wire to the body.

Do you have any solid black ground wires that run to the body of the vehicle that may have been removed when you took the dash and such off?

If you cannot find any loose ground wires try running a ground wire from the body of the car to the black wire that goes to the fuse box.

I sent you a PM.

have we checked the battery? it might have enough juice to run all these accessories, but not enough to start. and only using more and more accessories with out the alternator charging it, only kills it more.

The battery is good, even took it to get it charged again... due to all the cranking we were doing a few days earlier.

Hey Walley,

The black ground that your talking about is still there... screwed into the body. I even hooked up my test light to that ground thinking "oh well here's a ground, let me use it" still no change. I'll try to run another ground and see what happens...

I appreciate the help everyone... thanks

I think you may be having an issue from somebody trying to hook up an audio system or something and messing up the wiring.
We are going to try and get the assy relay working by isolating it from the other circuits.

1) Install a good assy relay
2) Remove Fuse #21 (10A) ------- Audio and clock The fuse numbers are molded into the underdash fuse box. You can see them if you look closely.
3) Now turn the ignition switch and see if the assy and ignition relays work normally. If they do your car should start.

If you are still having a problem try removing these fuses from the underdash fusebox also.
Remove Fuse #2 & #3 (both 15Amp) ---- Blower Motor
# 6 (15A) -----Cigar
# 7 (10A) ----- DEF and Mirror
#19 (7.5A) ----- Various inc theft (this fuse may be required to actually start the car)
#20 (20A) ------ Wipers
#36 (7.5A) ------ Phone

Except for maybe the theft you do not need any of those functions for your car to work.

After you have removed all those fuses (see if the assy and ignition relays work normally. If they do your car should start.

Once the assy and ignition relays work normally you can start reinstalling the fuses one at a time and see if any of those circuit causes a problem.

If I had to put money on it I would expect the audio circuit to be an issue. Thats the one everyone screws with.

I think the car may have had an issue before the dash was removed. If I were you I would not worry about it. Very unlikely you will have issues like this.

Agreed... I've had issues "electrical" wise, it was only a matter of time, before something major would happened. The Dashboard wasnt as hard as I thought... just take your time...
