Upgrade harness or full relay install?

i am running 80/100w 9004 bulbs for my headlights, i have been running them for months and the other day i was on backroads for a while and had the high beams on well i burned up the ground wire and need to replace the harness.(it didn't happen all at once still works if i move it)

the harness is an aftermarket autozone one and it said high temp but it was from autozone. (for $6)

the car seems to be able to provide the power no prob its right at the socket that i have a problem.

if i install a ceramic socket or a good high temp with this be enough?

These have worked great for me in the past:

The wires are lower gauge than stock and are nicely insulated, plus they're cheap and plug and play (wires don't have to be spliced).

Same watt as you, 80W/100W. I drove around for a while without the upgraded harness but said to myself "I might as well get one to be safe since they're so cheap".

I ran that set-up for a while, then upgraded to a 35W bi-xenon HID kit which came with the relay wiring harness and will be running a 55W HID kit for my retro with a custom relay wiring harness that I made which will be partially using the upgraded harness I listed in my other post.

You should be fine.

**UPDATE**

since the install i have replaced the sockets or wire leads a couple more times because they burn up! This is with the ceramic socket, (its fine the wire is not)

so i finally decided to bite the bullet and install a full harness with relay!!!

omg, im an ***. i should have done this from the start no more melting wires and even brighter lights!

i went with this guy:

nice. you could have also wired your own relays if you wanted to for the same effect. but when you have something that is an increase in wattage, always add a relay in there.

Yea. I was thinkin about making my own but for the price why? It's good quality it comes with everything so why not. With the cost of copper and the ends and the relays it adds up fast they were only $50. I got it in a couple days too!
