Twist-in LED Climate Control Bulb Info.
Ok, I couldn't find a write up anywhere on this topic. If there is, and I missed it, I am sorry. The only one i could find was a solder-in. I was doing this solely for the purpose of helping people out if they wish to make the process a bit easier.
Go to www.superbrightleds.com and order from them.
Bulb number is the NEO3. You will need 4 of these in total.
Here is a screen-shot of the options. The 3mm bulb size is the one you will need. And you can choose from five different colors. You can go with the regular 2 lumen bulb or go with the high power 6 lumen. I decided to go with the 6 lumen bulbs because the 2 lumen bulbs were not very bright for my application. I would recommend the 2 lumen bulbs if you like your cockpit lighting to be real dim at night though.
Here is when I got mine.
Compared to the old bulb.
With it in.
I will say right now that these bulbs are polarized, so if they don't work one way, you will have to take it out and put it in the other way. So with that said, I would install the bulbs, plug it into your car, but do not install the unit completely until you can make sure that they all work, in-case you have to flip some back around.
I will put a few pics of mine up when I get it in. Hope this is a help.

That looks pretty sick. Looks pretty bright from the pics. Visited the link you posted. How did you do the climate control? What did you use?

Pull bezel and remove climate control panel from dash. I think I had to pull radio and climate control out together, then remove climate control form the bracket. There are four round brown holders that twist our from the back. You can probably just replace the bulbs, instead of buying bulbs and holders from dealer; most any auto parts store should have them. Or you can replace with LEDs per this thread.
