Power Losses with Exhaust

Just curious... with those who know, will I get any major (or even minor) power losses in the low end with an aftermarket exhaust? Any suggestions for reducing the power loss?? I do have a Y-pipe...

yeah, you'll lose some low end, the y-pipe shouldn't affect any low end, but the reduced back pressure with a performance muffler, and b-pipe will hurt low end slightly, but will of course add hi-end........my 0.02

If the piping is 2.5" then it shouldn't hurt performance.
