Where is the IAT Sensor?

ok so i have a P0110 code, which means a bad IAT sensor or circuit problem. So i looked in the Haynes Manual and it says that the sensor is located on the Air Intake Duct (the square box), however its NOT there. I see where its supposed to be located and its not there, no holes drilled through there at all. Anyone have a pic of this? or a description of where it is? Thanks

What year is your car? Look on the side of your airbox.

That square peice you checked is either the resonator or air filter box, not the air duct. Check out the 1999 FED air setup to the link ajcool provided. The IAT sensor (22630Y) is located to the right side of the air duct just before it slides onto the air filter box.

For some reason courtesyparts didn't show the IAT sensor sliding into the air duct on the 1995-1998 air setup? I have a 1998 Maxima SE also so I know for sure it's located on the right end of the air duct.

If it isn't located in your air duct then it might of fallen out. When my IAT wasn't mounted it threw a code also. If you find an open hole at the end of the air duct then search for it below.

It is not on the box, it is on the tubing right before the air gets to the box.

oh ok, so its on the tubing and not on the air box? because i checked the air box completely. I even unhooked all 4 hinges to take a better look at it. JHolley the part number you referenced "22630Y", from the link it says it's a ENGINE air temp sensor, is this the same as Intake Air Temp Sensor? I want to make sure to get the right part..

It's the same exact part that threw your code.
