y pipe droning noise?

Hello,
I've had my stillen y pipe on for a few months now, and at around 50mph, it creates an annoying drone sound that is pretty loud. Does anyne else have a droning sound? Know how to fix it?

do you have a aftermarket muffler or stock? I have the stillen muffler and cattman pipe and it drones the most at around 1.5k. a little noise is all part of having a y-pipe but just make shure its not making a hissing noise. I dont think theres a way to fix droning other than a stock muffler though.

You can try wrapping your Ypipe in some Header wrap. That helps alot of people.

if you have a droning with stock exhaust...it's becuase you bought a stillen pipe with their CR@PPY flex section.....if you have aftermaket exahaust...it's because of the exhaust...NOT the y-pipe...

I thought the header wrap helped the hiss, not the drone? I have very slight drone, but that's because I have used a couple of resonators between the y-pipe, and rear muffler.

yeah , the wrap takes away from the BEes in a can , i guess it could also be charaterized as a droning sound.
