Too much body roll in my 96 GXE
Too much body roll in my 96 GXE
I've had my car since the summer of 2000.
Slowly, I've purchased handling mods, hoping to get rid of any body lean that is very apparent on a 4th Gen (mine at least).
I have a FSTB, Stillen RSB, 16'' Borbet Type Es with Potenza RE730 (225).
With all of this, I still feel body roll during turns on intersections, freeway ramps, etc. I was able to compare my ride to a friend's 97 Camry, since he let me drive it for a little while. The Camry has much less lean during moderate corning, while my Maxima, you still feel like you're falling into a turn.
Tomorrow, I'm getting the AGXs installed, all new suspension components (boots, spacers, bearings, rubber seats, etc) and urethane bushings for the control arms, front sway bar, and endlinks.
Hopefully, this will do it. I'm just assuming that a lot of the bushings and rubber parts on my stock suspension are worn out (91K on the car now), and maybe even the struts (though it passes DBM's bounce test). I expect to find a DRASTIC difference in handling...will anyone else back me up on this assumption?

Body roll
You might want to give the subframe connectors a look. Of the people who have tried them, most say theres a big decrease in body roll, and car feels tighter. See Matt93SEs sticky on the 3rd gen forum. BTW mzmtg is correct do both struts/springs. If you can do them both at same time you will save money. Good luck.
