Before anyone "FLAMES" me please understand I have been researching for more than a couple weeks now. I have obtained most of my information via the VQ30DEK swap for dummies thread and some other threads. I have one question that might have the shop stumped on my DEK swap.

I have a 2001 VQ30DEK, I am aware that they are all cali spec, my only question is does the 2001 VQ30DEK have a EGR valve. I am being informed that the 2001 does not have an external EGR. If I do not have an external EGR do i have to make any modification for this application?

Again I have rigorously been searching the forums for information regarding this question.

 

01s dont use the egr but since im assuming your still gonna be running your stock ecu...get an egr temp sensor and plug it in. Problem solved
