R35 GTR Seats in a 4th Gen
#3
Yeah, your right: most "reasonable" people would not spend upwards of $1000 on a 16 year old car--which I have, a 95 SE. Unfortunately, I am not usually reasonable.
If I knew they would be an easy fit, I'd probably get em'. I might have a chance to pick some up. I was also thinking about 2011 rims. I am clearly not a logical person. I just love my 4th Gen.
Thanks for the reply.

The 350Z and G35 seats will do fine. I want either one. I am just looking for a simple one to install/get installed. The R35 seats would only be purchased at an insanely low price--a price I doubt they will sell for.
I just didn't want to spend anything at all if it wouldn't work. Great point though. That does sound like an incredible waste of money. But man would they look cool.

That's good to know. Comfort is what's most important. I did not research the Sparco seats. I thought they might be stiff and uncomfortable, just really snug, since they're made for racing. I'd rather go OEM, but the R35 seats do seem a little excessive, unless of course the price is right.
Thanks for the info.

Sparcos/Brides/etc. are actually really comfortable. A lot of them have memory foam in them.
If I were you, I'd get a set of sport bucket seats versus full racing seats, though, so you don't lose the ability to recline your seat. That's really personal preference, though.

this
theyre actually really comfy, and dont have to be snug. mine arent snug at all. they recline, and can fold down
how much do R35 seats even go for? i remember people wanted to do a R35 steering wheel swap and that was over a grand IIRC, the seats are probably way more. for the price you could just get a nice set of Sparco/Bride/Recaro

I already own a set of g37 seats and set the passenger side in for a test fit... let's just say that its not possible without some serious mods. Like the beam that the front mount points are on has to be cut away then risers created. And the wiring is waaaaay different... I'm guessing the r35s would be the same or worse. U might wanna be unique but at what cost. I already dropped 900 on the seats lol... unless your deal was more in the g35 seat range, I wouldn't do it...
