ok so i did a transmission fluid change on my 99 maxima today and filled it up to the hole with 75w90 mobil 1 synthetic gear oil but when i was draining it a small spring and steel ball came out did i take out the wrong bolt bolt was small like a half inch of threads maybe also note when at idle with the clutch in 3-4 shift is like butter no resistance whatsoever car runs and drives and stay in 3 or 4 no problem can anyone offer advice

 

That was the ball and spring for your shift detent. Put it back in before you get your tranny stuck in second and third.
