Will the Door sills from the Infinti I30 and Maxima SE-AE fit on the 4th Gen Maxima? I really would like to get one for it. It really makes the car look classy..especially a black car with the silver/chrome door sill.

is there a way we can fabricate it?

 

I am gonna have to go out and get me some.I am 95% sure they would fit on a 95-99,and I am a 100% sure that 96-99 I30 door sills will fit on a 95-99 Max but they say Infiniti in them.Also Momo makes Universal door sills for cars the look quite nice too.But if you want to find out for sure post on the 5th gen board and ask for some one two measurment there car and then measure yours,even if it's a 1/2 an inch off it would still work fine.I have to wonder how much $$$ the AE Max door sills will cost probably a lot.

 

5th gen's have been raving about.

 

I spoke with Dave at SouthPoint and he had someone check this out for me.

He said the sills from the 5th gen will not fit on the 4th gen

 

The I30 ones fit, but they say INFINITI on them, don't they?

Not really....only $60 ( for all 4 ). But I don't think that they will fit on a 4th gen....

Dave @ SouthPoint says the the 5th gen ones do not have that lip that coveres the carpet like on the 4th gens...so you would have nothing to hold the carpet down.

...but if someone wants to try....

Wonder if you could take the MAXIMA plate off the 5th gen ones and put it on the Infinity ones...???

I am going to probably try to get the 2K1 AE sills for my max today or tomarrow since it's only $60 why not try it out.If and whenever I get them I will post pics.Later

Those sill on the Max-AE really do look sharp. However I do not want the '99 I30 INFINTI sills on the Max...cause well...its not an Infiniti.

Isn't there a way we can fabricate our own sill?
