Knock Sensor Code Still Present

I bought my car back in November with the knock sensor bad since. Today I replaced the cracked one from one at the local O'Reily store. I replaced it and noticed some power, but when I got it scanned again the P0325 was still there and everytime I "cleared" it, it wouldn't go away.

Is there something wrong with the wiring to the KS or bad fuse? Should I drive around a little while before I get it scanned again? I searched many other threads and couldn't find an answer. Help is greatly appreciated.

Typically the harness gets replaced at the same time. It used to be $15 from Courtesy.

Nope, just the KS one and it's raping my gas mileage which is driving me crazy since I have a lead foot.

If I go to the local Nissan dealership and ask for the harness with the part number: 24079-31U01 would that be correct? I guess it would seem to make sense since when I was putting the KS back, the harness kept making crunching sounds from years of exposure to heat. I just hope I can find where it plugs into w/o much trouble.

Check the harness first with a multimeter before you buy one. If harness is good then check the KS again. The KS can be damaged if the bolt is tighten too much.

So far, everything seems ok. I went to the stealership and got a new harness and put the new KS on again. I then went to the local autoparts store and got it scanned. The code came up, but this time only once (The previous time the code came up twice). I cleared the code and haven't seen it since.

@Maximized98 By bypassed do you mean the resistor mod? That might be handy if this ever happens again, lol.

@NickStam

After my father's discount and tax the part came to be $21.46, before the discount it was $40.

WTF, my local dealership said they don't even have used ones and a used one would be $70. Guess I'll install KR first and reevaluate.
