ABS Speed Sensor Has Code For Open Circuit
I got my ABS system in self diognostic mode and it gave me code 25 - front left sensor open circuit. Its cold outside so I haven't gotten under the car to look at it yet, but since its an open circuit and not a short circuit is it possible something just came unplugged? I searched the org and it sounds like the sensors are a pain in the butt to replace so I'm hoping there might be an easier was to fix it. Anyone got any advice?
your going to have to take it out no matter what but you may be able to clean it, it is just a magnet and may have a bunch of crap on it but that shouldnt cause an open circuit its probably rubbing on something and broken
or unplugged
or unplugged
Chances are the sensor is bad and the only way to get it out, even to just inspect it, is by destroying it.
They rust/corrode and stick on pretty damn good...id be willing to say it is probably going to be impossible to get the sensor out without damaging it. At least this was the case for me...

I've never done anything with the abs on my car, but is it possible for you to reach the connector on the sensor end, and check for output with a dmm while someone spins the wheel? Regardless, I presume the wheel sensor is fubard!
