Cold Start Problem Solved~~

okay guys.. those of you who posted about their car not startin when it's colder outside BE HAPPY. cause the problems solved. just clean YOUR THROTTLE BODY~!~!~!~!~!~! no questions need to be asked. JUST DO IT. it only cost me $5. i picked up STS(???) THROTTLE BODY AIR INTAKE cleaner and a heavy duty papertowel from autozone. and it only took me 30 mins at the most. and BOOM it's workin fine. i don't know about performance and ride comfort as other ppl said. but it sure solved that cold start problem. so if you need instructions on how to check it out at www.motorvate.ca GOOD LUCK

If you REALLY want to ensure that you do a thorough job, unbolt the throttle body completely. Leave the hoses on there, but when you take the four bolts off, it will give you plenty of room to tilt the inner side toward you. You can also rest assured that you are not scrubbing anything into the intake.

This is the 2nd report of cold starting problems going away with the TB clean. That is AWESOME if it holds up. Kind of makes sense... at least time wise for me. My 95 started up flawlessly every winter except last year which was it's 5th year with about 55k miles on her. It probably was time for a TB clean...

the starter consists of the starter motor and the solenoid. They are part of the same unit and come out en block. There are two bolts that must be loosed, the furthest back of the two is longer and harder to loosen.

Start by loosening the two bolts going into the bell-housing.
