oovi swap best info a dead link help
OK I went though 5 pages of search for the 00vi swap and the only one that looked good was a dead link. Could I please get a good link to a how to and what is need to do the swap.
I know a you pick it yard that has a 2000 with the every thing intact to pull. But want to know how to do the swap to keep my 99 emissions legal. I am sure if i dug for the next 2 hrs I could find it, but I am sure someone hear has a link to make life much easier

Emissions would be fine as long as you can get an engine tuning system. (e-manage seems popular) however, that will cost you more. Go with 5th gen lower and injectors if you want to do more mods to your car later on (like SC).
However, if you will keep it at 00vi and a few small mods like Y-pipe. It's cheaper to stick with 4th gen lower and 4th gen injectors. However, that will mean that you will have to drill new holes in the lower manifold to be able to attach the upper manifold. That can be hard or can be easy. All depends on you having access to a drill press.
Also, small suggestion. If using 4th gen lower - before drilling the holes fill the old ones by putting an aluminum bolt and epoxy in the hole. The epoxy is to keep the metal in place and the metal to make tapping easier and the thread more secure.
Now, come tomorrow i'll go dig up a few threads that have a TON of info. too lazy right now as it's very late. But look in motor section. There's good info there.
