Mirror shell

Hello,

Someone broke my driver side mirror body (metal part).

My question is it possible to swap from my existing mirror painted surface (shell) into new mirror? So I can keep my existing color.

Let me know so I can order brand new mirror from ebay.

For record my car is dark forest green paint code DPO, if someone has spare drivers side powered and heated mirror PM me to sell it to me.

Thanks!

The body-colored mirror shell is a separate part, so you can swap it into a new mirror assembly.

There are three screws behind the mirror glass. You need to pop the glass out (carefully) and remove those screws. If I remember correctly, the mirror can be pried off with a long screwdriver, but there is a bunch of sticky vibration-damping goop behind it that makes it kind of difficult to do.

Be careful when you put the mirror back on: I lost a mirror because I didn't clip it back in properly. That same sticky stuff can make it difficult to reattach the mirror; you'll have to push pretty hard.
