KSport Coilover rebuild?

How do I replace the strut from the KSport Coilover rear unit?

I can't take the strut apart (the bottom threaded unit that has the eye bolt).

I was able to take only the very bottom off of the coilover. I can't get the orange section off of the strut to replace it.

You have to take the top locking nut off the top of the coilover. It might spin so you may need a impact gun

I did that. I need to take the bottom portion of the strut apart, but can't do it. I was able to take the section circled in blue apart from the strut, but am not able to take the section circled in red apart from the actual strut. It looks like KSport has used some sort of permanent loctite on the threads. I am soaking the threads with PB Blaster. I may need to purchase a chain strap wrench to try and take this unit apart.

Anyone ever took the Coilover apart to replace the strut?

I haven't taken mine apart in a long time, but the last time I checked that entire orange section spins off in 1-peice. But I could be wrong because I haven't touched mine in a while.

Looks like a vise will be needed, and chain strap will be required to take that piece off.
