Cattman Y Pipe Group Deal/Production (4th/5th Gen)

First off, Cattman makes the best (and always will) exhaust components for our cars!!
I want to get the ball rolling on what could be the very last production of the Cattman Y pipe for 4th/5th Gen Maximas...Primary focus is getting a Y Pipe Group Deal/Production Run for the '95-'99.5,'00 & other FED Spec Maximas, but NOT necessarily excluding Cali spec or other year Maxima's (think we all know the 5.5s & non-FED spec's reach even further gains w/ the Cattman Headers/Y pipe combo) But this is a great cost-effective alternative to that combo!

I spoke with Brian a few days ago regarding making a Y Pipe production run and some highlights include:
Minumum of ~8 people need to place an order--no $ required when placing order (must call Brian directly to make order official)
Do NOT need all the $ until the Y pipe is ready to ship (~$100 deposit is charged only when the part actually begins production)
Once we get at least 8 orders Brian will start production and this is when he charges the deposit (~30%)
Also, I think Brian said he could do the Y pipe for $350 and once production begins, the part would be ready in about 4 weeks!
I will provide more info/details once I get back to work and look over my notes from my conversation with Brian. Lets make this happen guys!!

Brian has addressed/explained this in other threads but true to his exhaust philosophy and in maintaining exhaust velocity...a 3" y pipe will not be conducive to providing/making the most power---starting smaller and progressively increasing diameter out back is crucial to providing the best/most exhaust velocity, thus maximizing the power gains from freeing up the exhaust

This is why Brian should produce another batch of 4th/5th Gen 'Y's which eliminate the restrictive OEM 'precats' yielding big power gains and are also a much cheaper alternative to replacing an old rusted out OEM 'Y' or a pipe with bad/failing flex section

Cattman's website is EXTREMELY outdated.

Best bet is to just give Brian a call.

I have some headers on order and I must say Brian Catts is a pleasure to do business with. Definitely give him a call for any and all Maxima exhaust needs.

Funny I came across this now. I just got off the phone with Brian, and he mentioned how getting a Y-pipe alone had an unknown ETA, cuz interest in it is slow. But I'm definitely in if we can get enough for another batch made. May spring for the headers/Y-pipe combo though; just depends if you can you tell from a simple visual inspection that they're aftermarket headers? Anyone know?

We are close very close! Let's make it happen guys...Make sure you CALL B. Catts and place "backorder" on this Y pipe...He'll take your info. and will charge the deposit $ only once production begins--hopefully within the next week if everyone talks to Cattman!

I am in, can't call Cattman until I am off work this coming Monday.

Also, I do not have time to research in the next couple days as we are really busy. Anyone mind spoon feeding me cost of headers and y-pipe? (own a 1997 Maxi)

Cattman Y Pipe Production Run

Just need (less than) a few people to call Brian (Cattman) directly to get these '95-'00 Y Pipe's into production. If everyone calls B. Catts & orders next week we will be 'at the head of the line' in production and NOT wait 7+ wks. for them to get made--[the Summer months are going to be busy for Cattman's (manufacturing) partner] so the sooner Cattman gets the required minimum # of orders--we only need a couple more, the better off we all will be & the sooner we get our new Y's. We can get them shipped the 1st week of June if Cattman gets our orders NOW!

To reserve/make your Y pipe order official call:

Brian Catts, Cattman Performance
800.759.9920 or 520.575.6195

A reminder to those who haven't ordered from Brian before, Cattman does not charge anything ($0) when you call and place your order--the deposit (30%) is only charged after production begins & then the balance due at time of completion/shipment. A simple 5-minute phone call to Brian is all that's necessary to ensure you get 'In' on this Y pipe and into production.

Ok so i called Brian yesterday and expressed interest in a Y pipe for a 2000 Max. He explained to me that he will take my name and number and that's it. He said he is not sure when or If the production of these y pipes will happen because only one other person expressed interest in a Y pipe for a 5 gen. WHAT????

Production is nearly there for all 3 different Cattman Y pipes; 4th/5th FED, 5th Cali, 5.5 Gen....Call Cattman directly to get in on (the last)1 of these production runs now, before it's too late!

You know you only need a deposit up-front. Payment in full is only when production is complete, and he's ready to ship. Now I wouldn't join if you don't think you'll have the full amount by then either, but if it's just a matter of a few weeks for ya, jump in with the deposit...

Brian only charges the deposit $ the day they actually go into production (not when you call and place your order) and then the balance due when Brian is ready to ship them out so you'll have probably a month or so to get your funds together, at least. So everyone, call Cattman and let's get these into production!

Talked to Brian couple days ago, and he wanted me to post who is on the official list for the '95-'00 Y Pipe. If you don't see your name below, Cattman does NOT have your order on file so you must call him directly to get 'in'.

1. Jon (KT3MaxSE)
2. Bruce
3. Warren
4. Elisio
5. Calvin

We're so close to making this happen. It's time for all those who "commited" by saying that they're in to do so. Phone Brian and OFFICIALLY get on the list.

Saying that you're in through this forum isn't enough. You'll actually have to leave your address and CC# with Brian Catts to get on his list.

No payments are made at this moment: once he gets enough names (only a couple more!!) he'll notify everyone that they're ready to begin production and ask for the 30% deposit. When the Y-pipes are finished, he'll notify you again to pay the balance and have the pipes shipped.
