Little annoying Ticking sound

ok first off its not the injectors its coming from the passenger side of the vehicle first i had a shop look at it they told me it was my tensioner ok fixed that now same issue not one shop could tell me at least 90% sure of what it could be they say maybe a lifter ticking or timing chain from what i can tell its not affecting the performance of the car just like a little nat that wont go away any ideas or another place to start replacing things?

I had an irritating ticking sound on mine. People on here said it is the injectors. But I have my valve covers off and checked valve lash. I had 6 intake valves that were not within spec.

snape. snape. severus snape. sn...

anyway, probably is the chain. just the nature of metal on metal. doubt there are many members on here without some type of noise coming from that area.

You can try to pin point the ticking using a long screwdriver. Touch the tip of the screwdriver to a part of the engine, and touch the handle to your ear. Listen this way in several different areas to find where the sound is loudest.

Timing cover would probably be the chain, valve cover = lash, and if the sound is coming from the injectors, then that is normal.

omg a couple hundred bucks later and numerous shops stupid opinions i finally got rid of that little annoying ticking sound all along it was my power steering belt not the big major serpentine belt but the little one behind it i think it was about 250,000 miles overdue lol

the belt was literally down to like a 3 inch section that still had some belt left on it
