curious...do these have a satin finish? (plastidip)

 

Plasti-dip is always a matte finish unless you let it dry for 1 day, and then paint over it with different paint.

 

Actually it's "satin"... Not "matte".

 

I always thought satin had more of a glossy finnish but looked dull

ok cool...i just wanted to make sure that it wasnt gloss...i guess thats a downfall w/ plastidip..

 

Where did you guys find the Gunmetal plastidip? I was looking for a darker alloy finish for my wheels but I didnt want to plastidip matt black

They go cheap around here.

 

Plastidip only comes in one color (matte black)

 

 

It just LOOKS like gunmetal because of the reflection off the finish. It's black.

 

Where can you buy plasti dip ?

 

Home depot, lowes. Online. It's just a spray can so its not actually "dipping"

Actually it comes in Black, Grey, White and Clear. You can even goto Dipyourcar.com and they can mix custom colors for you for only a few dollars more per can. It can also be bought in the quart pre thinned for gravity gun or airbrush application.

Plasti dip is extremely versatile and is very affordable.

Those wheels turned out amazing. I've been considering dipping my 16's and then painting them. I just haven't decided on a color yet.
