Half Sized Roof Spoiler Fitment

My GLE came with a car phone, and it had an antenna mount in the middle of the rear windshield. Anyone with this feature able to mount the Iconic Dynamic Roof Spoiler on the car?

heres an OLD picture haha, from when my dad first gave me the car.

I ordered the spoiler last night, based on pics of it on peoples cars it looks like it will clear the antenna mount.

Hard to see, but how close is it to the edge of the glass and the rubber seal?

I'm sure you have a cell phone, right? If so, just remove the darn thing. It dates the car big time.

I cant remember, I think it sits just below it.

Yes.... lol. I removed the phone inside the car, and the physical antenna. What you see on the glass is physically molded into the rear windshield, it was the antenna mount.

How about a close up picture? I'm having a hard time imagining how it can't be removed...

Im guessing this was a factory option back in 95 because the mount is embeded in the glass, and the defrosting wires go around it. Heres a pic, now that I actually looked at it closely, it seems far enough from the edge of the window that mounting the spoiler wont be a problem.

Good pic. Spoiler should clear w/o a problem. But, it will look kinda with it left on.

I'd still remove it. I really doubt it's "embedded in the glass" as you say. Just take a fishing line and slice it off. Then remove the residue with a scraper. Then you can remove the other piece on the inside of the glass, or just leave it alone. I say this from experience with one of my other older cars.

yea, idk, ive never fully looked to see if it is embedded or not. But since its black and the spoilers black, and my car is black, lol, it should be good!
