Front Brake Caliper Problem - Help

I was replacing my brake pads and my partner had installed one of the front calipers. So as I was bleeding the brake, pumping away, we realized too late that one was hanging still on the spring.

So, am I SOL. I can't for the life of me get it back in. My C-Clamp just isn't up to the job. I've tried releasing pressure via the bleed valve.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

the calipers screw in, they dont push in. You need a caliper tool, it attaches to a wrench and you twist the piston as if you were working on a nut or bolt

fwiw you don't need to bleed the brakes if your just replacing the pads...unless you had to replace calipers as well. i couldn't make that out

anyways the piston on the caliper doesn't go back in? a c clamp should be more than enough, just take the cap off the master cylinder and push the piston back in using the c clamp.

the fronts don't have to be screwed in like the rears. they are simply pushed in. i just did both brakes today. rear are pita.

you can also screw the piston in with needle nose pliers, but you can probably go out, buy the wrench (which isn't expensive), come back and have the job done before you could have with the pliers.
