Climate control questions
Hey, all!
I've noticed some things with wife's climate control operation. In the winter time, if the air is not set up to exactly 85F (i.e. 84 and lower), it will not blow hot air (it will be wamr, not hot). The a/c doesn't seem to be ice cold either (i've replaced the compressor last year, but might need to add some refrigerant) at 65F, but seems colder if it's higher, i.e. 70F(i might be tripping on this one though).
Also, if the circular arrow is not pressed on the panel, with the climate control off, the foot vent will still blow whatever air was set up for before the system was shut down. This is fixed by activating the circular air button on the panel.
Any thoughts, or i am just paranoid?
Thank you!

Sounds like you have a sensor not working correctly. That would explain why the need to have it set at 85 to get heat. There is a troubleshooting mode, search auto climate control on here to find it.
The air is supposed to flow into the car at all times and it will temper it as needed but not cool it when the system is off. This is to keep the cabin free of any exhaust fumes. Perfectly normal operation. If your constantly closing it off by selecting the recirculate setting, your not doing your health any good.
