4th Gen Buyers Guide

I've searched all around the forums for this but was unsuccessful in finding one. Anyways, I'm in the market for either a 4th or 5th gen (probably 4th because of budget) and was wondering if there were any specific things to look for before I make a purchase. i.e common problems with all maximas, etc..

Also any other general tips would help

look at everything like you would an car check for oil leaks drive-ability, shifts smoke ect ect. but as far as common areas to 4th gens,

look at lower radiator support, if you are in snow/salt area of the country it WILL need to be replaced if it hasn't already!

have a friend start it for the 1st time from cold listen to the engine for timing chain rattle.(some is fine once oil gets around it should go away tho.)

look for any wetness on the timing chain cover by the water pump cover.

upper oil pan can leak too thats not a fun one.

also diff bearings but i think thats manual trannies only...
