95 maxima BIG 3 Help
Well I am about to do my BIG 3 UPGRADE what do I need to know about going to do this on my maxima anything special or just run 1 wire to my alt to my battery 0 gauge ofc, take of old grounds on battery run a new one from battery to engine block, and one to my frame and bam I am done or is it alot harder then this???
i would unbolt and clean existing grounds to bare metal with sand paper,
for upgrading see link above. But instead of buying those make it yourself.
you can get wire at homedepot any gauge you want -they will cut for you ,
connectors also there, all about 15$. I made myself 3x0 gauge ground from battery to chassis just in case

have you searched? its the same principal for all cars. youtube has videos. you can add or remove factory grounds. i added. more grounds, less resistance.
+ batt to alt post
- batt terminal to chassis ground
-engine to chassis ground
you can add more. the more, the merrier. i have my tranny case to chassis ground too. i sanded down and sprayed rustoleum primer over where i sanded to prevent rust.

This is what Low Voltage wire should look like.

You should not have 30 Strands in a 000 Wire - Seriously.

[QUOTE=FallenOne;8065288]I don't know what the hell wire you were using but 000 Wire in the High Voltage form is not going to help you a whole helluva lot on a car that runs Low Voltage.
Anyway you could explain the diff between the two? And what size should a low voltage wire be? I would like to perform this upgrade and am curious to know which gauge, at low or high voltage, would work best.

I am taking it you know nothing about car audio 0 guage wiring cause knuconceptz is nice *** wiring just wanted this topic to be safe I have BIG 3 on my truck I didn't know if theres something different to these or not better safe then sorry BTW if you are referring to me about the wire size my alt is a high output 270amp cause I am running alot of car audio right now I am seeing over 15 volts on my meter I am running 2 batteries and all just figured its time for the BIG 3.
sure thing more strands is better (more flex, better for low voltage) but i think using low strands cheap wire from home depot (like 2 gauge) is good enough. I am not talking about tuning stuff, just restore old grounding abilities. So lets not waste money for expensive wires in this case.

I quoted mateusz1945 for a reason Not You!
i dont need 000 wire anyway, just wanted to improve old grounds, 2 gauge should work just fine but i wanted be original.

Amperage carries Over Wire Not through it, therefore the more surface are or strands in the wire the more amperage that can be carried.
