burnt oil smell in my a/c
if i drive for a while and turn the car off when i turn it back on with the a/c on i can smell a slight burnt oil smell coming from the a/c vent it only happens if the a/c is on i haven't checked the codes yet but i had it scanned a few weeks ago and i was pulling a p0300 i did the valve cover gasket and plug well seals because i believe that was my problem but now i still have a leak somewhere along the backside of the motor and i cant figure out where has anyone had this problem and could this could the a/c be sucking up the burnt oil fumes

When you redid the rear valve cover gasket, did you use sealant on the corners as specified by the FSM? If not, it will still leak ( I didn't know about the use of sealant until after I did mine and read the FSM and discovered this - yes, it's also well documented here in the forums too).

clean the engine and let it idle for about 5 minutes in place. turn it off and you should be able to get under your car and see where the leak is. if you run your car its harder to find a leak since wind spreads the oil. it could be shooting from somewhere completely different and getting sprayed on your exhaust manifold in the wind.
