Weird as heck startin issue
Both my dad and I have 98's, automatic.
Both of us within the last week have had the same issue starting the car, happens after we have driven, stopped and then within 10 minutes or so gone back to the car and tried to start it.
Turn the key, light on the dash light up everything seems fine except the car wont start like the battery is dead, no starter noise or nothing,
we have done everything like, manual lock/unlock with the key, shifting in and out of R,N,D and back into park, tapped the starter, seems like the only thing that fixes it is time, the car will start for no solved reason after about 10 minutes or so.

Check your grounds...use to have this issue while driving, car would randomly cut off. It would not start back u right away and had to wait a few minutes and then it started. Start with the battery ground. Remove and clean connections..

The ignition switches also can do this. The electrical contacts in the start position will go bad.
Take off the air filter box so you can see the starter. It has 2 wires connected to it, a thick cable fromthe battery and a thin wire. Check the voltage on the thin wire. It should be 12 volts when the key is in the start position, zero when not trying to start the car. If you have 12 volts when the key is start position, the starter has a problem. If you don't get 12 volts, then either the ignition switch or the security system is is giving you problems.

Both cars have OEM starters less than a year old, battery terms were a tad fuzzed and those are now cleaned, guess we will see if it continues.
I was also wondering if it was some sort of sensor either related to the alarm (BOTH CARSARE STOCK ALARM), keyless entry, or shifting (automatics)
