KS Ghost code P0325
KS Ghost code P0325
Ooooook so you guys have helped lots so far and this car seems to keep coming up with fun ways to test me....i should really just start a build thread.
Anywho...Lately the car has been giving me the pleasure of bucking/stuttering only under load and only less than about 2500 rpms....since after doing research and cleaning my MAF, TB and K&N, im almost 100% sure its gonna b coil packs...ordered, theyre on their way....ok my question starts with this. I pulled the P0325 code and it said knock sensor. bought one off ebay $25 shipped took out old (looked pretty good but didnt test since i have new one) and installed new one. 2 days pass im getting no codes for the stuttering or anything but the dang KS code comes back no matter how much i clear it.....is this caused by the bucking/stuttering? Ive read conflicting things about misfires triggering a KS code.....
Thanks again for all your help.

@boothers96 well dude nice too meet another brotha who is having the same problems as me, i scanned my car to see what codes it would throw at me because i was having the same issues as you, it pulled the KS code, i replaced it got it off ebay as well, then i tried clearing the code only to find out it keeps coming back so it leaves me scratching me head, then today i buy a brand new sub-harness from the nissan dealership here it came out to like 50 bux replaced it and guess what?? same problem occurs with the bucking and stuttering, so now im believing it just might be my coil packs going bad,
check out the pics of my KS

i bought these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT
ill also b pulling plugs tomorrow but idk y it would be those, they're NGK Plats w only 20,000 mi on them. well see tho
Thanks for your help tho cartman.....
you know you can test coils for resistance, right? as well as knock sensor. there is a big chance the one you got from ebay is dead. test the old one, resistance should be around 550k ohms.
prolly got dead KS on arrival.
Sputtering will not cause bad KS nor will bad KS cause a sputtering. The sputtering is prolly a result of a bad MAF. u can try coils but it sounds more like bad MAf to me. Cleaning it dont always help especially if its already shot.

ok...so KS tested at 546k-550k ohms...so thats good...the source has roughly 3.3-3.5 volts. so its getting power and functioning....im testing CP next but ive read that CPs will sometimes test good even if theyre on their way out?
does anyone have a pic of the other end of the ks connector
I have a 95 and when i did my a/t swap i used a flashlight and could not find the ks to replace it,1 of th p/o's did an engine swap and i dont know if maybe they just left this part off
hope to find the other end and trace the wires to it if its still there

I currently have this same exact issue. Bought the KS from a member i the classified which was an OEM one never used but had it sitting for some time and the code is still there. Don't want to waste money on the harness if it doesn't cure the problem. My next thing is to somehow scuff the surface where the KS sits by squeezing my hand in there. Once reseated, hopefully the code is gone for good.
I bought the ks brand new replaced it and the code was still there then the next day went to nissan purchased the new sub harness and guess what code was still there even though I tried erasing it so hmmmm what can it be
Checked plugs today. They look pretty good for NGK Plats w/ 20k miles on em.

theyre in order
Cyl
1 3 5
2 4 6
Also cleaned the coil packs i have as per the thread on here i found about cleaning hanshin CPs....didnt help...car seems a tad more responsive, could b placebo effect, but stutter still remains...hopefully ill get the new CPs in the mail soon, theyre coming from hong kong....well see.

Just to update you guys, after constant erasing of the KS code, I was able to clear it by disconnecting the harness, clear the code and the reconnect the harness. After driving around now for over 100 miles, I got another ghost code P0400...bummer.
