Currently got 4 BFGoodrich Touring Premiere (these were the tires that were on the car when my parents purchased this car for me from one of their friends).

Tread is getting very low, so I'm being proactive and looking for new tires.

Anything under $90/tire preferred that will give me good ride quality, decent handling.

Any recommendations? I'm using tirerack.com at the moment because I have a trusted mechanic on campus, and I can ship parts straight from tirerack to his shop. If I do find somewhat cheaper prices at somewhere like Discount Tire, I'm down for that too.

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance guys!

Size?

Falken 512, they're fairly cheap. GFGoodrich g-force sport, good, but won't last as long. And be sure to check out discounttiredirect.com not just discounttire.com.

If you're ordering on-line consider Discount Tire Direct too. Shipping is included in their prices. Here is a list from them, along with the rebates.

Guys, thanks for the responses. The really cheap brands you have mentioned.....are those GOOD quality tires? Like I said, I want some decent ones (from looking earlier, I did see BFGoodRich, etc. that had tires in the $70-90/tire range).

I've looked at the Falken 512's based on the recommendations above, and those look to be perfectly in my price range...are they good ride quality though? I guess I want something that's pretty decent handling (definitely won't be racing this car lol), (i guess I care most about ride quality), and something that I could possibly drive in snow since I'm in Michigan, and I don't get snow tires for the winter (but the university plows the streets to a decent degree...so something with somewhat decent light snow traction is good)

I was in the same boat as you a couple months ago. Look on craigslist and see if you can find some new rims with tires on them. I scored big and found a set of 17" G35 Rims with brand new Cooper CS4 tires. Ready? 400 bucks.

If your really down on your luck you can go to Wal-Mart tire and lube place, they tend to have tires for real low price and free installation.

I currently have all my tires from there for about two years now on my car and have had no major issues.

Nankangs really are a good tire. VERY VERY VERY sticky though. Roommate's g35 would lay strips in 2nd with nittos but wont roll the Nankangs without a clutch dump.

Ride quality and noise seem fair for the grip level.
