squealing belt sound on ignition.

thats my problem. it sounds like a tape casset is being pulled out and rewound.

only happens on ignition and sometimes will make the sound when i throw it into D. for about 3 seconds and goes away. happens any time i leave my car off for more than 5 minutes.

apparently searching through the forums has given way to many possibilities for the screeching that don't sound like the right description or answer. need help troubleshooting my description.

btw where is the search button on these forums? it looks like the same engine for my old forum but the search bar isn't there. thanks

The search button is in the top bar almost in the middle. It is in the same bar ar "User CP", "Photo Gallery", etc.

Dude next time read the post before saying "search". Tired of people being useless smart-asses.
He already did search.
Anyways, belt screeching on start up is usually either your belt is worn and needs replacing or you need to tighten it with the belt tensioner.
Here's a video tutorial(not by me)
