Stuck on strut knukle

Hi,I'm trying to install struts. They are already assembled I got the top in put nuts on. Now I'm stuck on the knukle part cant line it up with strut. It looks like it will not line up straight and be even with the holes. What am I doing wrong? Please help if you can.

I stood on the hub and while doing so slipped the bolt through the hole.

it's easier to get a pry bar and poke the hole

Do I put bar through top hole of strut and then try to get it in knuckle? How should I go about doing this? I screwed up top was easy now this. Car is sitting on jack stands probably for days heavy rain coming with lighting and thunder.

Unhook that sides sway bar linkage. Do the knuckle before you line up or tighten the top. Wiggle, light hammer tap in, pry out, repeat.

i had this problem once when i was replacing my knuckle. i just stood on the lca while pulling up on the fender which caused it to move down and at the same time just had my lil brother stick both the bolts through when it lined up.

get a pry bar and pry down on the lower control arm so that the control are will move down, then have someone put a bolt through the spindle and shock.

You wouldn't have this problem if you raised the entire front end.

Seriously people, common sense here. Both front wheels up in the air, off the ground, hanging, no load on the suspension - BOTH SIDES!!

I had more issues with this on the pass side since i had to remove the axle nut and had to align the axle in the hub while lining up the strut bolt holes....drivers side wasnt as big of an issue.

Pfffft, I strong-armed my control arm, too lazy to jack stand both sides of the car.
