Skyline R 34 Gtr Tailight Conversion???

After too much negative feedback from the Altezza's I have decided not to join the club. However, I am much impressed with the very rare SKYLINE GTR R34 conversions

Can anybody shed some light on me with respect on How2 go about the conversion. Such as cost, any modifications, etc.

well.. you're in luck, because someone has brought to my attention your post. I've done the R34 conversion and I can tell you, be ready to grab your Tylenol to take care of the headaches. Basically the rear quarter has to be chopped off and the trunk must be cut and welded in. You'll also need reverse lights because the r34 tail lights do not incorporate them like the R33 and 32. Worst case scenario as far as pricing... expect to pay around $800 for the lights themselves and about $1500 in labor. Try and find a deal for a little cheaper if you can though. Good luck

I did see the R 34's up for auction on Ebay for $300 though. BUT...the modifcation cost is way out of a po-boy modifier's league.

Looks like the Altezza's aren't so bad after all.

Or you can make your altezzas look like these: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=60625

These are the only altezzas I like.... when they're covered up... and his car is black, so it looks good also. Very clean and nice looking in person.

Let's just say I could've bought another Maxima for the money I put into the car. But doesn't compensate for the blood, sweat and tears that also went into it. Look for it in an upcoming issue of Super Street Magazine (probably around summertime)
