Starter price ??

Its time to do my starter and I went to a local auto-parts store and got a price on a Bosch starter and it was $325 ?? Another brand PPR, I think, was $240 ?? Are these normal starter prices...anywhere I can go for cheeper ??

Check ebay. Good chance you'll run across one cheap.

Do a search on 'starter'

$109 + s/h for a brand new Prestolite unit.
Don't have the contact info right now but you'll find it past recent threads...

I had a new aftermarket starter installed by my mechanic for $194 total. So you should be able to get one for way under $200.

I payed...

I just did mine a week ago, 145$ for a reman'd nissan one, (autozone has them for 140-150$) and it has lifetime warranty. Installation is a piece of cake, remove your intake and take out the two bolts holding it on.

AutoZone has a good rebuilt for $140.00, your'e core is worth $45.00. Removal/installation is a simple. And as was mentioned by other members it has a lifetime warranty (save your receipt). Should you opt for a brand new one pepboys has one for 169.00 with a lifetime warranty. My starter spins like a top! 96se amsoil 0w-30,Dunlop SP 5000's, 156,800 miles. Good Luck!
