I Have the same problem. Talked to some people and they say it's common. Are you ridin' on stock struts ? Mine creek around a lot and my front right strut smacks every now and then. You just gotta crank up tha tunes and get used to it. It's the price you pay to look good.

No, the price to pay is $370. They're called KYB AGX.

well.. is it making noise when you turn? or when you go over bumps? is it a clanking sound? chances are the springs are re-seating themselves.. if it makes a sound when the car turns then the strut mounts arn't lined up correctly.. if it makes a noise when you go over bumps or when you drive straight.. then the strut bold in the middle of the strut is not tight enough

Not if your a poor bish like me who is impatient and wants a nice drop and good handling w/o blowin his cash at the moment on some struts that people can't see.

Flame on, knowledgeable members who "know better" than to ride lowered on stock struts.

then who over did the job didn't do it right.. on each front strut tower is written on the strut OUT the OUT must face the opening in the wheel well where the tire goes on.. for a better understanding.. the OUT should line up with the bolts on the bottom that bolt on to the car.. the problem you are experiencing is due to the OUT not lining up with the outside of the car..

I'm getting this squeeking/creeking sound from the left rear area. It is at stand still and also on small bumps. I sit down in the car and I can hear it. It is intermittent and sounds just like an old mattress spring box that creeks, abeit faintly. It is driving me crazy at times. I tried to put on the wire wraps stuff by jacking up the back end but realized it is next to impossible without taking the springs off--ycan do small sections but that's about it. Now I'm not so sure if it's the springs or the polyurethane bushings from my Addco. People said to grease/lube up those bushings before install but I didn't listen. Even at the rear wheel well and pressing down on the body of the car, I can sometimes hear it but it is faint and again, hard to localize. I have assumed previously it was the springs because of the sound of it but could it be the Addco? Just started hearing the sound maybe September. Addco went on in May, H&R/Koni on in June.

if you are getting squeeking.. take your FSTB off for a week.. see if that might be causing the problem (it has been known to cause squeeking problems) .. if thats not the problem.. then check the condition of your spring isolators.. if they are worn.. you will have to replace them.. and this is going to require you pulling down the full suspension.. as long as you are not getting any clanking noise.. then its not what i described above..

edit: you said left rear .. hmm.. are you 100% sure its the rear? if so.. then check the addco RSB .. and use the same procedure above instead of FSTB.. do RSB..

You think you're bad Craig...

I'm riding on Sprints with stock struts. I want the AGXs but I can't afford them either. You realize our handling is MINIMALLY better than stock without aftermarker struts. I know you like to say it is much better with the lower COG (I know I do), but the truth is the rebound rate is practically killing the handling.

I have the Koni Sports/Eibach Pro Kit combo. My right rear was creaking too much that I was getting upset. A few months ago I put it up on a jack and removed the wheel I found the spring was not seated correctly. I turned it a bit, put the wheel back on and it never came back again.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check that out this spring. For some reason, the creaking is no longer apparent in this cold weather. It was definitely driving me mad though...

The squeaking noise is being caused by a lack of lubrication to the urethane bushings on the rear sway bar. Go to any parts store and get a product called "Stay Lubed" or similar product. Alternatively call Addco or any suspension shop and ask what lubricant they recommend. I believe a graphite-based lubricant is recommended. The bushings need to be adequately greased or the bushings will squelch, squeek, etc. Apply the lubricant generously. Some lubricants last 90-120 days, others forever. Addco installed mine and used a certain lubricant. Not a squeak in over 4 years. Did you use the lube they gave you when you installed the bar? Your may need more. Try regreasing the bushings and see if this solves the problem.

Good luck!

If your bushing are squeeking save your self some coin and get waterproof grease from a marine shop. I paid 3.50 for a tube that fits a grease gun. Rather than 10.00 for a squeeze tub from the local auto parts store

Hey thanks. Addco never included lube. Their instructions never mentioned lube. However, people on the org recommended lubing the crap out of it and I should have listened.

I am having the same problem. I hear squeaking sound when I go over the bumps or when I drive straight. What would be the solution to this problem?
