I know this has already been talked about a LOT, but I searched and couldn't find any direct comparisons between the KYB AGXs, Koni's and Tokicos. I also searched for some info on springs, but didn't find too many comparison between the H+R, Eibach, B+G and any other springs. I'm looking for a comfortable ride, with only a little drop. What combo would do this, and which products are reliable? Do any shocks/springs have any advantages over any other shocks/springs?
Well, i can tell you this...
If you are getting any of the aftermarket springs, do not get Tokico struts. They are too soft.
I can give you a direct comparison between Sprint and Eibach springs. The Sprints are too low in my opinion. Yes they look good, but you have virtually zero wheel travel. With the Eibachs, i get the same sharp handling as the Sprints, but with twice the suspension travel. It barely looks lowered, but it handles like a dream.

A few have said the AGX's are stiffer than the other two. All I know is, I have my Koni's on the softest setting for F/R and that is plenty firm for me--the roads in my parts are just too choppy. I'd avoid tokico's with lowering springs simply from all the negative reports about durability. The beauty about adjustables is that you can set them to your preference AND as they age and soften, you can valve them firmer.
I got the Sprint's and Koni's combination setup. I like it...I like it a lot.
I heard Tokico's are terrible, so avoid them if you can. I don't know about the KYB's.

Just based on what you indicated your preference is, you should look seriously at the H&R Sport springs with the KYB GR2 struts/shocks.
Nice mild drop 1.4"f/1.3"r with very durable (yet cost-effective) performance strut/shock option.
If you really want adjustables, go with the KYB AGX, but expect to pay more & get a stiffer ride, even on the lowest settings.
Good luck!

I also heard bad things with Tokico. I have KONI and they are great but the only thing I hate is that you have to take the rears off to adjust them

I haven't run into a bad comment about the KYB's yet, but i don't have them myself, so it's all up to you. All i know is that i'm leaning in the direction of KYB's
hey i got the OG style of eibach and tokico and i lve it just not low enough but the handeling is great and ive been running on them now for about 50000 miles

I just put H&Rs on but I know I'll need new shocks before long. I don't have too much money to spend so I was thinking about going with KYB GR2s cuz I know they are cheaper than the others. Anyone know where I can get these? How much are they usually? How will I like them? I'd like to get adjustables but I just don't think I can afford it, we'll see.Originally posted by KWheelzSB
