the next step in evolution of security for our max

well the other day i was watching tv and saw a new type of security setup for our cars.. its a biometric starter, when you get it installed you scam your thumbprint into the database and then from that point on, noone but you can start the car.

http://www.fistenterprises.com/

while your there you can sign up to enter in the drawing for a free smart start package...
i thought it was BS till i looked into it a lil more and it seems pretty cool.

this was featured on American Chopper: Senior vs Junior... Junior did a FIST bike. Its definitely legit.

still not convinced that it would be something id want though. seems like if you got in a bind and had to have someone drive your car while you werent there, youd be screwed...

Seems like a fair compromise.

well you can give that person the code to enter a new thumb into the system and then they can.
then all you have to do is remove their print from the system after its no longer needed

Waste of money like most systems...within 56 months of it being out if its not already been done thieves will be able to bypass anyhow...hidden killswitch is cheapest and best way...i personally got a viper 791xv which was 600 when it came out loaded with features including a kill switch and its pretty simple to disarm without the fob....

yeah the easiest way to kill the power to your alarm is to hit a body panel or piece of grounded metal with a cow prod, but with these systems they have a standalone power source so you can take the battery off the car and it would still work

What about Ravelco? Heard a lot of good things about it so far.
