So I go to my car one morning, alarm does not open the doors so i use the key. Windows did not work or locks. But after driving and getting to my destination, they worked. I realize that when I make sudden turn to either left or right the power to window n locks go out. There has to be a loose connection somewhere, before I tackle the FSM, has anyone come across this?

Or can anyone point me to the right direction as the first place to look that can come loose like that?

Ignition switch or ignition relay is your most likely cause. Try jiggling the key/switch and see if the problem stops/starts. The ignition relay is near your underdash fuse box. The Assy relay is right next to it, I think they may be the same. Try swapping them.

Do other functions such as turn signals fail at the same time?

nope, only thing that dies is locks and window. my ign switch is messed up and has been for years, going to look over the fsm to see how the ign switch affects other things.

I think its either ground or battery power to the BCM. I dont think its ignition because when car is off(ign off), Locks have to work and they didnt.

Then check underhood fusible link F (30A) and CB 2 circuit breaker.

I think so. More likely an issue with the fusible link. Others have had problems with it coming loose for whatever reason.

Fusible link was good, not sure if the breaker i checked was the right one but i moved things around while flipping the lock switch and nothing. So i gave up.

As soon as I locked the driver and rear door by hand, i went to open the trunk with the key, i hit the unlock button real quick, and it unlocked, and now the switch works. So weird.

If you have not already done so try removing and reseating that fusible link. Inspect that area.

Do you have power seats? Do those fail at the same time?
If the answer is yes than most likely failure is at the fusible link.

Do you have a sunroof? Does that fail?

How about what the FSM calls the switch illumination, room lamp and step lamp? Are any of your interior lights failing when this problem occurs?

I reseated the fusible links, but I have not really checked the other things you mentioned, thats a good idea. yeah I do have power seats and sunroof, so ill try those.

This might be related, or completely off topic, but my clock is dead, and has been for a month or so. Randomly

Clock should not have anything to do with this unless it fails at the same time as door locks and windows.

The windows and door locks both go through the driver's door master window switch, so this is a suspect.

damn, i dont know what is going on but this is damn funny situation.

My DD is having a similar problem the keyless seems to be going on strike and my CC only works consistently after the car has been driving for 30mins.

Yeah this is annoying, things got worse though. Looks like it failed for good. Locks n Windows are dead, everything else works including seats and sunroof.

Also, just now I was driving n did a quick secondgear WOT, bat light came on but I think that's belt slip from the sudden acceleration. When i let off, the ac blower came off n won't come back on. Now i got no power window n no AC, and in Miami!!!! I'm dead.

So.... the blower fuse was blown, replaced it and works fine now. not sure why it blew at WOT. (can a fuse pop when there is lack of voltage from the alty?)

As for the locks and windows: I washed the car, opended the door and alarm went off (the factory one). nothing I did made it turn off, went to the truck and opened it with the key, alarm turned off. Also learned that the trunk button does not work when windows and locks are out. now randomly everything works.

I still lean towards the power window switch assembly in the driver's door. Do you have any friends that have a maxima that would let you "borrow" their switch assembly?

Lol it seems that way, however I think I discover the source.

I have a piece of plywood in the trunk as the floor, so it looks like when ever I accelerate hard the wood would hit the back of the trunk pushing the cables agaisnt the metal surface till one shorted out, the pink one with green tape i just added. I didnt take the time to figure out what wire it was but my Tail, Trunk fuse were blown. Also I discovered this because when the locks and windows were working the trunk still did not work so I went back there. I am hoping this is the cause of the power lock/window issue and not something separate.

So the window and locks work.

But now the AC Blower is out again, didnt check the fuse but 100% the fuse went out again. Now i gotta ###ing find the cause of it blowing.
