Now I can see my feet at night

Before installing these lights, I hoped and prayed that it wouldn't be obnoxiously bright.

I think most modern cars today have these lights installed from the factory. You see a lot of them in luxury cars though.

As you can see from the pics, I installed it hidden and out of the way. You will not be able to see the light strips if you're sitting in the seat. All you're going to see is some cool blue lights shinning your paws

I tapped the power from the headunit, illumination wire. This way, the lights only go on when I turn my headlights on. Wally world, pep boys, autozone should have them. They are about 1 foot long led light strip. It's almost as long as the floormat as you can see from the 1st picture.

doesn't strip led offers more installation flexibility than tube led and inexpensive from fleabay?

I was liking the install until I saw the daytime pics. That's when things came into perspective. I'm sorry, but that's ghettofabulous. Good idea, poor execution.

On a side note, congrats on having two of your threads locked this week.

I concur, though. They need to be mounted... up. And out of the way. Where they cant be seen unless you get your happy butt upside down with your head under the dash.

Man that's way to funny.

1st thanks for serving. Bout the sticker...display your service proudly and thanks for serving

2nd the lights look cool BUT you gotta do it clean. If you mod something make it look like it came from the factory like that. In other words you should nearly break your neck trying to see those lights. Try zip tying them to where the glove box screws in. There is a nice metal support bar right there. Take the glove box out if ya need to to snake the light up in there right.
