Is this abnormally clean?

The max has 313,000 miles and this just seems tooo clean lol. I've seen motors with half my mileage that look 10x worse than this...

I guess reg. maintenance FTMFW

Yeah! Maybe there is something to be said for changing the oil regularly.

when i buy a used car, if i had my druthers an could inspect only 1 thing, it would be to lift the valve cover--of course, most sellers won't let you do it.

i wish i had kept pictures when i redid my 98 max upper oil pan seal--the bottom crank, and all the whatchmacallits--conn rods, etc were exceptionally clean and honey brown.

with regular oil changes on a max u should never really have problems...
