timing ring
timing ring
hey guys, throwing a crankshaft position sensor code, i looked at the timing ring through the sensor hole and there's some teeth that are chipped. my question is, does the timing ring remove from the flywheel?
I'm looking for pics... H/o

For future reference....The automatic trigger ring is WELDED and the 5mt is bolted on.
and yes... the 5mt fw is on the right....

Welding and grinding is going to result in some degree of imbalance, and right on the rim, where imbalance has maximum effect. Any imbalance will wreck the bearing nearest to it. I would be looking for a junker to get one from.
its not my idea to weld the cogs. thats my dad b****ing at me for wanting to spend my money on an aftermarket FW. so if he effs it up he can buy me everything that gets effed up...praying for a vq35
there was a piece of metal from my old transmission that i missed and it was pinging around and messed up the timing ring. no big deal, now its just time to upgrade
