Misfire? after replacing EGRC Solenoid Valve (1005)
I had the 1005 code and replaced the EGRC Solenoid Valve. I also had the 0701 code for multiple misfires. I assume these were related. I have reset the ECU and driven about 10 miles since. The CEL has not come back yet. The car seems to run better overall, but it still a little rough at idle. I checked the vacum lines and everything looks ok.
Is it too soon to tell if the problem is fixed? How long before the CEL will be tripped if its not? If no CEL is tripped, any ideas as to what the issue could be?
Thanks

Is it possible it will misfire for a bit because I was running with a bad EGRC value for a long time (like really a long time) and then go away?
Or do you think the misfire is unrelated?

The misfire is unrelated. You need to remove and inspect your plugs first. If that passes, the inspect your coilpacks. If the coils passes, then check the fuel injectors.
