Help, bad ECM

I was told that the hard starts I am now experiencing is due to a bad ECM. I was wondering if any one in the Dallas area knows of a place to have them rebuild. I know junk yards are an option but not sure what to look for since my car is a 5 speed manual trans and who know what they have on the shelves.

Idk who told you that, and what kind of trouble shooting has been done, but Max ecu failures are almost unheard of. More than Lilly a bad ground at the engine bellhousing mating surfaces. Search around here for no start threads and you'll find alot of info. Just be careful because alot of info is uneducated BS being recycled by noons with no real experience or insight.

i bought my max bc the guy that had it had his mechanic tell him that the ecm was bad, i worked on mine for a few weeks testing everything.
it turned out they didnt grind down the engine tranny metal when they put in a new clutch and went to the local parts store and got a 4g wire 24" long and ran it from my - terminal to my tranny and charged my battery up and it cranked up first try, but make sure to scuff up the metal on both so it gets a good contact.
hard start could be the engine side crankshaft position sensor too even after i got mine to start everytime it still had a hard start. i changed that out and it now cranks over and starts the second i hit the key. search for my threads and you should find my thread about the exact thing your asking about (with pics)
