How to replace headlight bulb!

Ok so my buddy has a 96 Max and his headlight went out. He bought a 9004 bulb and we got the thing out of the housing by twisting the ring but know how do we get the bulb off the plug?????? My car just comes right out lol.

there's clip holding the bulb to the socket, use a flat head screw driver to lift the clip end while pushing on the bulb housing.

While it's out of the headlight housing or should I put it back into the housing by screwing the ring?

In the time it took you to hop on and post you should've had the bulb swapped already.
