Thats an easy fix to do yourself. Just pull the airbox and all hoses off, sneak a 12mm wrench or socket with a swivel down under the intake manifold and unbolt it. There are a ton of threads on here of how to do it and many have pics.

I spent 2 hours and still can't even get the wrench on the bolt to even try and break it loose. I watched the video a dozen times.

I'm in the same boat man. I've spent about 1hour trying to put the wrench on the bolt... I'm contemplating taking the whole IM just to get to that bolt.

#1 you dont use a wrench.

You use a 1/4 in or 3/8 in drive shallow socket, swivel socket and some extensions.

Have you considered just over-riding the KS altogether with a resistor? That's an easy fix, just be sure to use high octane gasoline...

IF U HAVE BIG HANDS, IT IS NOT EASY TO INSTALL THE KNOCK SENSOR. I have a thread on this. You will need the small hands of a 5-7 year old to install it.

Agreed!! I put a ratchet on mine and had it out in about 30 seconds.

Big hands will make it hard (maybe impossible), but you don't need a child's hands either. The key is getting the sensor right in front of the valley out of the way. (I forget what it's called.) You can do that easily with a crows foot wrench or a flex head wrench to take off the nut that's on the underside of the sensor.

You'll get scraped up a little, but we should all be used to that.

Finally changed knock sensor

Well today I decided one way or another I was going to replace my knock sensor. Ended up using the socket method. Couldn't believe it took me 35 minutes to swap it out. Last time I tried a wrench and got no where. Thanks for every ones help I was dreading trying again. Glad I did.
