Windows and Drivers Side Lock Problems
Windows and Drivers Side Lock Problems
Hi, I recently have a problem with not being able to operate my windows at all, and my Driver's side lock doesn't work what so ever.
I have read online somwhere that the driver's side door has a micro processor that controls all the other windows, which would explain why the locks work on all the doors and not the windows.
And if it matters, the passenger side bottom door light works, but the driver's side bottom door light doesn't, and I have checked to make sure the connectors are plugged in securely and they seem to be. I also just recently replaced my speakers, so I'm wondering if I could've messed up anything there with the circuitry?
The other door locks work, but none of the windows do. I have been searching everywhere for a wiring diagram for the driver's side door, but I haven't been able to find any information and I was hoping someone could help me locate my problems here.
Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

The door control switch is the harness that plugs into the window control?
(When taking off the door panel)
Thank you for the link, but I cannot find the Auto Repair Reference Center? The site seems to be a bit confusing as I do not see anyhwere I can enter an ID and PW.

Sorry, but the website works for me off my PC and my smartphone. Don't know what to tell you. When I type in the web address, the very first page provides a place to input ID and PW.
You might want to start with the simple things, check the fuses and see if maybe one popped. It could be that you somehow shorted one out. The door lock / window switch is controlled by the LCU01 (PS is LCU02) ... this is the 'micro-processor' you mentioned. It's not a likely thing to go out, but it is electronics and it can. Start with the fuses, the post what ya find. Also ... DL a FSM (field service manual) ... google.com and that will have ALL of your wiring diagrams and much much more.
So I finally tried it at home and it worked fine, and I found the wiring diagram for the door locks but I couldn't find anything for the window controls, but I wanted to say thank you very much! I appreciate you providing those links for me.

And thank you for the reply, your post really helped and I will reply plater when I have some free time with what I find, and thanks for mentioning the FSM, I'm not too familiar with this stuff so it's all a learning proccess for me and I've always wondered what a FSM was, haha.
But anyway guys, let this thread die becuase I'm a dumb ***, I took off the door panel yesterday and I guess the connector got disconnected so I plugged it back in and everything works fine now, haha. Such a silly mistake.

Thanks for all the help though!
