Update to my AE Cluster

Got a little bored with my AE cluster so I gathered some supplies and went to work!

45 min. later...

Here it is in the car:

I also bought some "Super White" led bulbs off ebay, but they turned out to be "super blue"

Anyone know a good place to get "white" #74 led bulbs? I want my 3 different colors lol

you will have to sand off the blue paint(or whatever material it is) on the back of the gauges if you want white or any other color for that matter. there is a thread on here that doesnt involve removing the needles to do so(if your interested in removing the blue)

Check out that thread. There are links to get the bulbs in here + results with 5.5 clusters which are similar to the 5th gen clusters

Looks good. I had the same problem with the bulbs. Since when does white mean blue?...Anyway, you want to get warm white. They will be what you are looking for. Good luck!

I know, but when I had regular white bulbs, the numbers would illuminate white with the blue in between, these bulbs just make everything blue. I want the contrast back lol. Btw, thanks for all the comments

I got some from http://www.superbrightleds.com. They seem to work well, but the wedge is a little thin. I had to bend the metal contact in the holder to make sure they had a good connection.
