JWT ECU on my 96 Max question...

I have on BIG question about the JWT ECU. I am buying the 5spd JWT ECU off Me[kk]a (i believe thats his name), and was wondering if i would have any problems with it since my SE comes with 4 wheel ABS.

I tried doing a search on it but nothing came up. If anyone could point me in the right direction or answer my question in any way possible, i would really appreciate it. thanks.

ABS isn't controlled by the ECU so your good there. However being his is a 97 ECU you will get a CEL for the rear 02 for sure.

Considering I am fully straight piped, will the o2 sensor part matter?

Only if you care if you have a CEL.

You can ground the rear o2 sensor to get rid of the CEL, though not sure if it worked for the JWT.

96 has no heater where as the 97 does so the ECU would be looking for it.

Im not 100% positive but I believe that you will surely run into CEL issues and possibly your engine might not perform the same. Why switch? Is yours damaged?

Why would his engine not perform the same? Actually it will perform better. If it is truly a moddified 97 it will look for the rear heated 02 sensor on his 96 car.

Ive run two different 97 ECUs in my 96. One was a stock and the other was a G-Force and I never got an O2 CEL.
