Installing Radar in guage cluster

A lot of you guys ask me about my temp readout when you see my sig. It's actually a radar/laser detector. The kit is made by Whistler. I installed it about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Its not hard to do. All you need is a dremel and a glue gun. I can go into detail if you need. Hear are some pics of the kit.

so you had to make a hole in your gauge cluster to put that in? and it tells you the outside temp also???

where are the actual sensors mounted? outside/inside? can you provide some pics of that please

The antenna mounts in front of the car. It's a black box with a wire which is about two feet long. The wire is for temp and can be placed away from the antenna incase the ant. is mounted by a heat source(radiator or exhaust). I mounted mine just under the licence plate. It's hard too see in the pic. And yes the thing I like best about my car is the milage. And I'm the original owner!

Radar ant. on car

Radar and laser ant

You can purchase an extra radar ant. for the rear. The laser ant. is 360deg.

Nothing in the window. The radar is completely hidden. Everything is diplayed on the readout in the dash. I got the unit about 1 1/2 yrs. ago. We were installing them at the dealer and I bought a kit from our supplier who is just a local audio/alarm place. They got them directly from whistler. I'm not sure if they have a website but the model # is 3300ci laser/radar detector and the only info on the box is a service tel # 1-800-531-0004. Sorry I don't have more info. We stopped using whistler and started using bell custom kits cause we get the cheaper but they suck.

There just some no-name JC whitney lights. I put HIDs in and I lost the brights so I stuck them behind the grill to use as high beams. I do use them to blind peeps now and then though. When I bought the radar It hink it was like 200 bucks or so, but that was like 1 1/2 yrs ago.
