Broken Antenna

Hey all,

Just the other day I noticed my antenna isn't going all the way up or down anymore, and lubing it up isn't helping either. I guess I'm ready to replace it. I'm not sure if it's just a mast issue or if the motor is becoming weak, but I need some info on the cheapest place for a replacement part, as well as how to replace this thing. Any other tips or ideas are of course welcome!

Thanks.

On mine I just pushed the antenna down and simply disconnected the motor when I noticed it started doing this, haven't personally had problems with clarity or range that you wouldn't experience with the antenna up.

It's a PCV catch can, traps a good chunk of the oil vapor sucked through the PCV system rather than allowing it to go directly into the UIM and making a mess of things.
Decided to make one after reading http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...r-3-weeks.html

Here is a picture of it on my car (blue, if it isn't obvious enough), I've since relocated it to the passenger side near the horn just to make it easier to get to:

I just replaced my mast 2 - 3 months ago, here is the place I ordered mine from.

http://antennamastsrus.com/Nissan/Ma...01995-1999.htm

They have good instructions on their web site and have tech support.

Wow that is a cheap, good find. I was going to to order a replacement from the dealer next time I order some parts.

I took mine out and patched it and I must say it sets the maxima out from others. It wasn't easy to do but once I paint the car in january it will look great
