it could be a lot of things. start searching as there are more than enough posts to get you going.

you aren't going to get any help until you can be more specific about your problem

do you have any codes?

do you know when/if the clutch was replaced? if it was replaced and the mating surfaces between the tranny and bell housing were not cleaned properly, then you will always have a hard start.

some members have had luck by adding ground wires to the starter and tranny bolts. but if the mating surface is corroded in any way then the only way to fix the problem is to unbolt the tranny and clean the surface properly.

this.

add a ground wire from the negative battery terminal to a bolt on the tranny housing.

You should get a tune a tune-up asap. You can't really know what that is unless you diagnos the problem. Start by eliminating things like spark plug, battery"get a optima red top battery because it's a possibility your battery is approaching the end of it's life span. Proper grounding or replacing the terminal.

I'd do those first then the alternator last. You should try to get the battery because cranking te car like that will put strain on the starter and alternator. Good luck.

since we're throwing stuff out there: it might also be fuel related.

Knock Sensor is an easy thing to fix if you have the right tools and small hands, I got a KS off ebay for cheap.

I had the same problem with my max a few a months ago. My motor sounded like it was turning over fine but it wasn't. I took my starter into the auto parts store and they tested it and it was bad. Bought a new one, thew it in and my car and it started up just fine. This might not be the problem with your car, but it only takes 10 minutes to take off, might be worth a shot.
